Government House is the official residence in Grenada of His Majesty the King, and as such also of his representative the Governor-General. Government House is located on Mount Wheldale, on Upper Lucas Street, next to the New Parliament Building. The residence has, however, been a ruin since 2004, when it was heavily damaged by Hurricane Ivan and subsequently abandoned and left to rot. Governor-General Dame Cécile La Grenade has made it a personal mission to restore the building.

Government House was originally constructed in the 1780s as an estate house owned by William Lucas, but was purchased by the Grenada colonial government in 1785 to become the Governors residence. It served continuously as the residence of the representatives of the Crown from then until damaged by Hurricane Ivan in 2004. Since 2004, the Governor-General’s residence has moved around the Saint George area, having been located in Point Salines the past few years.

Government House has played host to a number of great figures throughout the years, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, Fidel Castro and Ronald Reagan. King Charles III visited the ruins of Government House during his visit to Grenada in 2019.

For the 50th anniversary of Grenadian independence, Governor-General Dame Cécile La Grenade hosted a formal Gala on 4 February 2024 to raise funds for the restoration of Government House.
